The moment he went outside he would feel better. We knew that there was something in the house that was affecting him. The house is old and as we are going to knock it down and rebuild on the site, we elected to keep the carpets, rather than pull them up….a big mistake on our part. Before we moved in we had the carpets conventionally cleaned, thinking that would be enough. But it wasn’t…. my husband was sneezing and coughing almost as soon as he walked through the door. We elected to give SPS a try. My experience as a consumer journalist means I am always sceptical about wonder cures or solutions but we were getting to the point that we had to try something. From the start I liked Colin, who came to see me, because I felt that he listened carefully to my concerns and questions and then gave me general advice on how to tackle allergies in the home. I found this very useful. We talked about mould and other possible allergens before tackling the question of dust mites. He and I both agreed that mites are probably only part of the problem as far as my husband’s allergy is concerned, but I elected to go ahead and try their cleaning system anyway. Since having the carpets, sofas and beds cleaned we have noticed a marked improvement in my husband’s health. The wheezing and sneezing has lessened - it hasn’t stopped altogether, which suggests there are other allergens affecting him, but we both feel that using the SPS cleaning system definitely helped.
